She giggles as she rises from your armchair.  “Did I manage to surprise you?!” she asks.

It’s like your body’s on autopilot; you’re already rushing toward Jade, throwing your arms around her the moment she’s within reach.  “Holy shit, Jade, I thought I’d never see you again!  What are you doing here?!”

Jade holds you back with just as much gusto.  Wow, you never thought it’d feel so fucking nice to be in her arms.  “I bet you were worried and quite fucking confused when you woke up, huh?”

You nod into her hair with a sigh.  “You have no idea, holy shit.”

She giggles once again.  “Actually, I’ve got a better idea than you’d think.  That’s why I wanted to be here when you woke up.”  She pats your back.  “Come sit down, John.  I’ll explain everything.”
