Man, at first you had initially been very effective at tempering your expectations, and therefore hiding any emotion.  But for every day he doesn’t show up, the harder it is to hold everything in.

Before you realize it, you’ve been getting more and more excited at bedtime in the waking world because “Oh wow, you might be able to see The Knight again!”

However, for each time you wake up in the dreaming world and don’t get the chance to meet him, you can’t help but get more and more disappointed.
